SnipeLog Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-05-22  ·  Last updated: 2026-05-22

SnipeLog ("we", "our", "the app") is a precision-shooting tracker. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is stored, and the choices you have. We try to keep this short and honest.

1. Information we collect

We do not collect contacts, precise location, advertising identifiers, health data, browsing history, or any data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

2. How your data is stored

3. Sign-in providers

If you sign in with Google or Apple, those providers return a user identifier and (optionally) your name and email so we can create your account. They do not receive your shooting data. Their privacy policies apply to the data they handle:

4. How we use your data

Solely to operate the app — sign you in, save your sessions, display analytics, render team rosters and exports, and let you delete your data. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers. We do not use it for advertising or for any purpose unrelated to running the app.

5. Account deletion

You can delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account inside the app. Deletion removes your authentication record and your personal shooting data from Firestore. Sessions you shared with a team may be retained by the team admin under their seat as required for that team's records — contact your team admin if you need them removed.

6. Children

SnipeLog is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.

7. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your personal records are removed from Firestore. Firebase keeps short-lived authentication logs as required for security and abuse prevention.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over TLS. Firestore access is gated by per-user security rules so that one user cannot read another user's data, except through team membership which only exposes the data the team admin permits.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, when appropriate, notify you inside the app.
